Living Strong
Some days ago I was able to participate in the LiveSTRONG Philadelphia fundraising run & ride. The experience is a blast of yellow across a number of beautiful and colorful jerseys, banners, helmets, and more - all in the name of fighting the number one killer in America: cancer.
The event was poignant for a number of reasons but most especially for the fact that LiveSTRONG personified, Mr. Lance Armstrong, was able to make an appearance and talk to all of the fundraiser before the event began to discuss his foundation, the war against cancer and the (then) upcoming debates in Iowa to all of the presidential candidates asking them to discuss how they plan on addressing this national concern.
I have a lot more to say on this note, but the pics will have to speak for me for the time being.
I can’t believe I missed this! The kicker is I live right across the Ben Franklin bridge in South Jersey!
