More on that cool business card

Quite simply the coolest business card ever

I’m proud to see that the site survived an avalanche of both Digg and Reddit traffic that spiked on Friday.  The post that was so noted was on the above pictured business card. You read about things that take off on Digg, but are seldom prepared for it when it happens. Luckily and nicely, the site balanced well and never went down – kudos to the folks at ASmallOrange.com (I was already a big fan, now even moreso). The post that got picked up was on one slick, original, and VERY cool business card designed by Jeni Mattson. I subsequently learned that the infamous Kevin Mitnick saw and liked the design so much, he wanted it for himself and ended up having Jeni design it for him as well. Revisiting it makes me appreciate how the novelty and design, in may ways, is so very cool and great for making an impact when conveying your contact info to a potential client. The company that makes them is a MetalCards.com who also have a decent gallery of some other designs here, definitely check it out.

Having said all that, I’m seriously considering a metal version of my business card for a more fun and lasting impact. I’ll keep you posted as to how it pans out.
