Getting Google to help you with SEO (for free)

In exploring the labs section of Google, I recently uncovered a pretty neat little tool entitled Google Sets (http://labs.google.com/sets).
Lets first discuss the fact that I don’t understand why Google has to use unaliased text in their logo on a page that is hit by who knows how many millions of users. All it is, is an additional checkbox when rendering it in Photoshop. Second, and more importantly, is the fact that this tool offers related (or as they called it “predicted”) search terms or search sets for bundles of keywords.
Thus, if I add FileMaker as a search term, Google Sets happily offers/predicts the following:
Ultimately, this is an interesting predictive technology to use for related search terms when setting up advertising. I believe the folks running AdSense offer this to the ad buyers when setting up their ad placement. But for the folks that do not have AdSense, such as myself, it makes for an interesting tool, especially when used with related search keywords in meta tags. Surely, search terms are another interesting way of launching and promoting commercial blogs as well so bloggers take note.
Ironically, I used it to help setup my YPN advertising!
Hopefully, you’ll find it helpful!!
