Apple Releases Sick Laptop = Auction to drop my old 17″ G4 from a 10-story roof
But in case you haven’t yet add Apple’s Hot News RSS to your subscription list or read any other Apple related site for the past 24 hours then you wouldn’t know that Apple has updated their 17″ Powerbook G4 to a 17″ MacBook Pro powered by an Intel chip.
I’m not going to bore you with speed and productivity increases that are published by every other blogger but I will put this out there:
Rather than donating my old computer to someone needy, I am willing to drop it from my 10-story roof and CAPTURE THE WHOLE EPISODE ON VIDEO from 3 seperate angles which will then be broadcast via Quicktime from this very site. I’ll pay for the bandwidth overages and everything.
Thus, I hereby make a formal agreement with the viewing public that upon receiving the full $2799 for a 17″ Macbook Pro, I will have a professional filmmaker (errr… actually, a graduate of the London Film School) set up a synced three camera recording of the whole thing and viewers can watch the professionally cut final version of the film or all three seperate streams.

You are a depraved, sick individual! especially when there is a certain DEPRIVED individual out there who has their prized 15″ powerbook stuck in the apple ’shop’ for repairs, and must post and work online via a loud, hot pentium 4 pavilion desktop replacement laptop that weighs 10 lbs! Did I mention that said individual just had a herniated disk replaced three months ago and desperately NEEDS a MAC this moment…if only to stay cool and keep from repetitive lifting of this beast?
really, you ought to reconsider cause I have a feeling about the INTEL dual core thing and when I buy another apple, it’ll probably still be a PowerPC processor….Let some other folks ‘work out’ the software bugs and kinks, eh?
