Perhaps you were lucky enough to see him on Dave Letterman’s Late Show, but if you weren’t then you should sit down… Raul Midon has entered the house. If you have more time on your hands, then take a look at this live performance - the quality of recording may not blow you away but his musicianship certainly will. In a nutshell, he’s the blind son of an Argentinian dancer and African American mother who has melded the music and culture of both into his own personal blend of soul/jazz/pop/blues/african and latin jazz using phenomenal guitarmanship in traditional spanish styles as well as rock and funk techniques.
