Elvgren Updates…

Lefebvre (don’t ask me how to pronounce it), care of his/her own blog over at has passed on a cool and possibly useful update/version of Elvgren.

This basic idea is that the category buttons/links/more all in the sidebar on the left, can minimize and maximize to let the user reclaim space on the screen (if I could only get the rest of the body to wrap around it – floats, here I come) that sparked some curiousity on my own part. What are you users looking for in a modified and tightened version of Elvgren? Michael Heileman has managed to figure out a way to create a theme-centric options tab in the Admin panel. That’s just damn cool, if you ask me. I’d find it useful to leave options for users to basically be able to rewrite the theme without having to …rewrite the theme i.e. one could create font choices to be centralized in this pane, rather than having users to go around and muck around with CSS, or 1 vs 2 vs 3 column layout style. While Michael’s K2 will certainly elevate the Wordpress platform, again, it’ll be more interesting to see how this versatile structure will really be expanded upon…

What are your thoughts on things you would like to see in the later version of Elvgren?

Beside that great sidebar, I think having an *icon* when no comment is left instead *nothing at all* is pretty useful.
