Say hello to Elvgren & Taft

Ladies & gentlemen,

It’s my great pleasure to welcome and introduce Elvgren 1.0 and Taft 1.0 to you, as my first iterations of Wordpress themes. Look at the design of this very page. This is Elvgren.

Taft is a little less standard, image heavy, looks better on a Mac, and still has some quirks to work out. BUT, it’s REALLY nice when everything works out.

    Doesn’t display properly in Internet Explorer (6 on XP/SP2)… the center column does not begin displaying on the page until the left column is complete.

    Thanks for your comment, I recently also noticed this behavior on Windows IE, though it worked properly on Windows Firefox.

    I develop on a Mac and this behavior was not apparent initially, I’ll do my best to get it working - thanks for your input !!

    I’m digging the Elvgren template. Although I’m having the same problems as Z on IE (just at work) at home it works fine on my Mac. Very clean looking template.

    ok.. i change my question..

    I just found out you guys fixed that IE-view-bug.
    But i am using a modified version of elvgren and don’t want just to switch to the updated elvgren 1.02 (cause all personal changes get lost i guess..)

    So.. is it easy to fix that bug manually in elvgren 1.0? Or is there lot of code to hack?
    what did cause the problem?

    problem solved.
    i downloaded last version of elvgren.
    then i merged the old and the new style.css with kdiff3 .. then i inserted that merged style.css into the old customized theme.. this took only a few minutes. and it works.
