VoterGate - Security? What Security?

Sometimes, you read/view certain things that come across as absolutely preposterous: an electronic voting system created by Diebold Systems and mandated by several states in the US, demonstrates some of the worst security frameworks conceivable. Regardless of your political affiliation, take note of the mistakes. The following links serve a Quicktime movie (see the Apple site for more info on Quicktime) entitled VoterGate which all document some of the incredibly lax security procedures, all in one of the most competitive elections in US history and possibly the most cutthroat and competitive arean in the world.

On a side note, note that most of the applications were coded in Access. I would think even most of the novice FileMaker users could better secure their systems than Diebold did, most especially with some of the new security features in FileMaker 7
