Blogs worth reading
There are a myriad of blogs to consume and tech magazines to read these days. Thankfully, I discovered InfoWorld, which is certainly worth reading/subscribing/browsing. Most of the outspoken writers such asTom Yager, Jon Udell, and Chad Dickerson are knowledgeable and articulate about software, the tech industry, and more. What makes their insight particularly worthy is: a) they’re not afraid to kick an Apple product in the pants; b) they’re not afraid to sing praise for an Apple product; c) they often recount their difficulties in managing their nearly full switchover to Apple products from highly Windows-centric setup.
The above links are to their individual blogs in addition to the InfoWorld root link. Especially helpful, are the inclusion of Apple products in the broad spectrum of competing products i.e. server products, server configuration tools, development tools, etc. A reader can really get a sense of how an Xserve compares in a work environment against a Dell, or the shortcoming of groupware, most especially the nonexistent kind for the Mac.
