REALbasic: Who wants to write a book?

Does anyone else have this itch that they would love to write a book? Perhaps of a technical nature, simply because one feels they understand technology and could explain it better than others? I love using REALbasic; however, when it comes to getting great and in depth technical resources, the only up-to-date source is the RB Developer magazine (which I subscribe to and read voraciously). That being said, I read Matt Neuburg’s book on RB some time ago and I’m itching for something more expansive, more elaborate, and just downright newer and geekier. Unfortunately, some of the newer texts just don’t cut it, despite being solid RB resources. So I re-state my original question, which is WHO WANTS TO WRITE A BOOK ABOUT THE LATEST AND GREATEST VERSION OF REALbasic? Please drop me a line if you’re serious!

  1. I’ve been in data processing since - okay, it’s been a really really long time. But I also have a life. Recently I published a book on the 1843 Oregon Trail Migration (Western Passage on Amazon.com). I don’t have any massive desire to publish another. However, I would like to attend a class on REALbasic. I’m just learning this language, and the spoken word is more powerful than the written word.

Are there REALbasic classes? Like at a community college, or New Horzons business schools?

If not, I will continue with the out-of-date tutorials and books.

    Thanks for listening.

  2. TJ, Have you visited/kep track of any of the RB user group mailing lists. They are WITHOUT QUESTION one of the best if not THE best resource for more REALbasic info. Not only are the engineers from REAL Software active participants but a base of nearly every prolific RB user also chime in with raves, rants, and tips.

Everyone was a beginner at some point and, as of today, there is no better resource for RB info other than the user manual and associated technical documents.

Hope this helps but chime in if you need more info.
