The following link was originally in the middle of this post, but upon further review, it was SO insightful and informative that I couldn’t but help move it to the first slot.

  • Seth Godin presents a detailed analysis careof etre (pronounced ett in French for those with bad accents, pronounced ettre by those able to enunciate the gutteral r from the back of the throat: the word is the verb for “to be” – sorry, I digress) of eye tracking across his site squidoo.com. His post and conclusions are brief enough to read quickly, see the first link below:
  • Khoi Vinh, even though busily redesigning the NYTimes, has taken issue with the RSS icon standardization, originally based on Firefox’s RSS icon.
  • For those of you lucky enough to have set up a Mac Mini as a PVR, and for those of you that haven’t, here’s a sweet set up to moisten your Mac lusts. The behind the scenes look can be seen here. (As an aside, Chris Breen of MacWorld has a nice article on setting up a multimedia Mac Mini)
  • Disturbingly enough: Rugged veteran Iranian special forces hero “Commander Bahman” will soon be tackling one of his toughest missions, rescuing one of his country’s top atomic scientists captured by U.S. forces in Iraq.
  • For those that are really into Information Architecture and Information Design, you surely know who Edward Tufte is. Feel free to let your inner geek speak with your outer self.

  • Upton Sinclair wrote, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” That’s why it’s so hard for a company to break out of a slump induced by poor management: the only ones who can address the problem are the managers themselves. Brilliant, absof***inglutely brilliant.
  • If any readers ever needed a reason to be inspired and to not believe what users or critics say, but what they do, they should read this thread on the MacRumors website with users thoughts on the announcement of the iPod.
