I did it the hard way I guess (though I&#039;m not sure study is the easy way!):  I just validated HTML pages to XHTML - changed the doctype, ran them through the validator, fixed errors, repeat as necessary....

It&#039;s not materially that different really.  And once you get something at XHTML transitional, strict is a piece of cake, and 1.1 isn&#039;t much harder.
